    Default Theme - Gaudi Lights

I'm still working on my images (slowly) but this was taken inside Antoni Gaudi's cathedral - La Sagrada Familia. It is one of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882. This image is straight out of the camera except for boosting the green in Viveza for the theme. Gaudi designed it so that the light would flow in sheets into the building - it was incredibly beautiful to see.

Awesome, Cheryl - almost surreal. Cannot take my eyes of this, superb work in terms of composition and colours - congratulations!

The colors reached out and grabbed me immediately. Wow. I like the combination of vertical and diagonal lines in the foreground with the complex patterns in the background. Very, very nicely done.

An amazing image in every way! Love the composition and colors and the sheets of light. I knew you would have some great images!

Gorgeous image. Fantastic colors, planes, light, shapes, textures. Great composition. Someone else posted a version of an image of this same place a few months ago. Lucky you to see and photograph this.

I'm always curious when I read "straight out of the camera." Does that mean the unconverted RAW file? Or, a jpeg?

I assume it will take you months to process your travel images. Looking forward to seeing them.

Did the trip re-ignite your creativity?

Hi, Anita, thanks for your comments. When I say SOC I usually mean that I haven't done anything to the image in PS or with plug-ins. I will however use a levels adjustment in Lightroom, etc. so it's not really SOC. It's a RAW file. I always shoot RAW. Re-ignite my creativity? Yes, but I was there for 30 days and shooting every day (usually all day) so it may be burned out again :) I didn't cull anything while I was gone because I didn't have time or energy at night and I didn't want to reject something that I didn't like on my laptop that might have looked fine on my computer at home. So, I've got a lot of culling to do. The only ones I've actually worked on in PS are the ones I've posted here. I've tagging the ones I like in LR and then will slowly work through the ones I like the most in PS. So, yes I'd say months

Wow. Amazing that very little post was done to this image. It is other-worldly and quite beautiful.

    Cheryl,

Greetings. Wow. That's spectacular. I was in Barcelona many years ago and fell in love with Gaudi's architecture & art. I don't recall seeing the color in La Sagrada Familia so I'll have to go back! Hope you got a chance to take in Dali's Museum (in Figueres). Good to see your posts.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Late to the party, but the colours and the light are absolutely gorgeous Cheryl.
