I was fortunate to have this zebra's attention against the backdrop of a beautiful sweeping sunset shower that only the Serengeti/Mara can deliver.
Showing here the versality of a 500 prime to create land/animalscape images.

Hi Marc. The sky is gorgeous and those sweeping showers as cool. I like the exposure on the Zebra with its head turned towards us.

Hi Marc - Fantastic sky and good eye contact with the zebra. If it were mine I would lift the exposure of the zebra and the grasses a bit. They seem a bit underexposed as posted though I recognize you were likely exposing for the sky.

    Rachel

    Hi Marc

Very special moment and very difficult lighting conditions to shoot in.
My eye kept being drawn to the brightest part of the image, ULHC.
Took the liberty to do a fast RP, masked exp layer on sky, inverted for FG and lifted the brightness a bit. Lightened the Zebra a bit more to draw the eye.
    Selective sharpening for web.
    Please excuse halo's- fast edit.
    WDYT?

Very dramatic image for sure... The sky drama wants to dominate the scene but the FG zebra helps anchor the image. Overall terrain is somewhat boring but held together by the sky! I like it and the RP is good also!

Hi Marc i must say i love this one !!!!
Very well composed with the Zebra as point to make the FG interesting , but the sky is just priceless good .
I might only change the colors of the FG grass slightly away from blue , going a bit more to the yellow side . But as colors are a matter of taste it might be just only do look good to me .
Image brightness is just right for me as OP .

Great timing and a great job, Marc

    TFS Andreas

Hi Marc, this is so special. Love the details of the cloud (or whatever it is) on the right and the bright sky on the left. To me, the OP is about the sky with the zebra anchoring the image, not about the zebra. The FG and the zebra is a little dark like Rachel said, but I don't think it is an issue for me. Loi

Appreciate the comments everyone, many thanks. Here's a RP with a warmer FG and associated light increase.

Beautiful capture Marc!!! I shall not repeat any of the above, I really like this very much and especially your RP - superb colours and composition!

So much you can do with this frame, your options are unlimited - I took the liberty of tweaking a few sliders, just because I found this so tempting to play with...

    Kind regards,

    and

Happy Easter to you and Family!

Marc, splendid scene well captured. Your RP ticks the box for me (Gabriela's is a nice variation if you choose to "bleed the light" a bit too)!
