Taken a few days ago while he was showing off.
Look at the pose and the head shape.
This is what they do to attract females I guess.
    Thanks for looking.

    Nice shot, Karl.

The colors, sharpness and posture of the bird are all excellent. But one possible suggestion would be to crop a little off the top of the frame. There is a blurred region at the top left side of the frame that I find distracting.

I like the pose with the stretched neck, a lower shooting angle would be more effective here

That sure is a great pose!
I would take a bit off the top to eliminate the area in upper LHC.
Nice IQ and I like the color of the water.
Is that a bit of the tail poking up from the water?

Just a hint of humor in this image with the calling pose and shape of the head. Another nice one from you, Karl. I would like a lower angle, but not a deal breaker here. I assume that the upper left is ice, but in that I can't tell for sure, I find it a distraction and would remove.

Hi Karl, super, super pose with the elongated neck, and I really like the colour of the head.

Thank you all. Now I removed the upper part to get rid of the OOF ice from the top left.
Gail, I think it is the tip of the tail.
Lower angle is impossible along most of Lake Ontario with the exception of a very few spots here and there.
This spot is not one of those.
