Andreas, you were not supposed to take pictures of our home, LOL
What a lovely surprise to see our Park through your lens, Andreas! Love it! The landscape so familiar, yet a different perspective - your perspective! This is very special and I thank you for sharing, in a way it says " I was there, I saw this place, and it mattered to me..." It pleases me tremendously on a personal level, we never got around to look at your images from the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi and I take great delight in viewing. Beautiful colours ( so many shades of green) and I like the composition and presentation - a lovely reminder of what myself and Andre have on our doorstep, in fact we are going there tomorrow morning and we'll think of you Boet!
Hi Andreas, I like the curving river with the thick canopy of trees and the eles on bank, some drinking water, others just moving about. Nicely composed.
Love the comp and the Eliies doing their own thing.
Looks more exotic than home, you need some-one to show you what you have through their eyes!
Love the greens, did you do any channel blending here?
Stunning!
Hi Andreas - the layers of color here really make the image for me. The river is also a nice leading line and the egret adds to the image. Nice animalscape.
Thanks so much folks for your kind comments ,as always much appreciated .
Marc - easy job because i do not post that many shapes .
Andre - no channel blending , how do you get the idea that i blended channels ? If you are referring to the coloration , it comes from tearing the different shades of green REALLY apart with Dan Margulis LAB color separation !
I was just lurking around and spotted this image of yours. It really is quite delightful - I like the different shapes and shade of green that you have achieved - and the elephants just quietly grazing their way through the landscape. I love the image and the PP is outstanding as usual.
I am no expert in this area, so my view is that of a novice. But if this was my image I would probably crop enough off the bottom to remove the area of bright water nearest the bottom edge - I find it makes my attention stick at that point.
Herr Liedmann! Your best image posted here in more than a year, at least for me.
I love it: the curve of the river, placement of elephants, mottled grey and green thorn trees.
Hi Andreas! such an amazing feel here shades of brown and green in the trees along with elephants at the river bank busy in their activities makes it a real special image here !!
