    Andreas:

Def. a different POV on this fellow. The great eye and other warm colors work well together. Difficult to get enough DOF with this much focal length, even with the smaller f/stop.

    "Eye" catching!

    Cheers

Hi Andreas, This is different, and I like your OOTB thinking. Great show of the eye, and the colours are spot on. Noisy buggers, but they produce great inflight images too.

I actually like the limited depth of field as it creates more detail in the killer sharp eye. Cool looking pose and the exposure looks perfect. Well done Andreas

Thanks folks for your kind comments , as always much appreciated .

Stu sadly no flight shots at that location , you have either buildings or other fancy stuff in BG , plus it is all very narrow at that location , meaning if they fly they just come through trees or around corners and really touch straight and as i am not that much skilled for BIF it is kind of difficult for me .

    Cheers Andreas

Hey Andreas, OK, if inflights arent possible, have you seen these guys fight with each other in the water - pretty aggressive with each other.

    Hi Andreas

That combo seems to work well, very crisp!
Like the mid tone contrast and the exposure on eye.
Down here these buggers take over our waters and chase away the little waders- the EG not too popular in SA, they are even invading Germany!
    Regards

    Andre.

    Lovely portrait Andreas!

A little upside-down though Just kidding, you know I love your work and at times you really surprise me with something different and exciting:)

Well composed and I like the tonality and detail in the feathers, the eye is very striking in terms of colour and clarity.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
