would not look at this image. But this Great Egret looks good to me. What do you think? May have over done the eye. 1dm3 on a 500mm w/ 2X, iso 200, 1/1250 at f8, ME, One Shot - handheld leaning the lens on a fence post. Bob

the pose of the bird is really cool!! and the eye looks pretty good to me. but there's some funky stuff going on in the oof bg, especially the area just below the birds head. its a little distracting.

    very very nice Bob.
    Excellent exposure

Might give a bit more space especially on the right and soften some of the bg harshness, esp dark areas

I have been so guilty of cropping too tight until arriving here at BPN. Maxis and Axel both kept after me for more space. The images take on a whole new look when giving the subject ample room...sorry for carrying on

Stunning image and excellent detail and exposure as well as a very beautiful pose. IMO I find the crop just a tad tight and would like to see a little more canvas. Really like this and many thanks for sharing.Bob .

A great pose, Bob, and very nice detail in the feathers. A little more room in the frame might be nice, but I also like it as presented.

I like the setting and pose. As mentioned, a bit tight in the frame and I would apply some NR on the BG.
