Just love these birds, I thought Arash may have taken a few when visiting here in January?

Thanks for either viewing or commenting on the previous image.

Perfect comp for the portrait, and I love the colours and details on the bill. The light angle really worked well to highlight the texture on the forehead. My eye is drawn a bit to the white throat, so perhaps toning it down just a wee bit would help. Oh, and fantastic BG!

Thanks Daniel, I did tone it back a little, probably need to look more at the 'Brighter brights', there is detail there not blown, just needs a gentle hand in teasing it out.

    Thanks.

nice and detailed head shot, good BG. I just wish for a slight turn towards the viewer.

Daniel made all of the points I was thinking (and more!). I'll add that the eye here is photographed really well!
