It's been a while since I have gotten a chance to post here on BPN, but it's nice to see that the themes are back! I thought I'd add to this month's theme with a portrait of a Ring-Necked Duck that was shot this past winter. I took the 2x out for a spin to see how the IQ would hold up ... I was pleasantly surprised! Plenty of light so I could stop down just a tad for the needed d.o.f. with these close subjects and still have enough SS to shoot at low ISO.

Nicely done. IQ has definitely held up well. Great exposure on the blacks and love the low POV and nice blue water BG

The whites are missing a bit of detail on my screen. Maybe a bit hot?

Flippin awesome image quality! The details are jumping off this frame...You did a very nice job with processing. The eye is captivating in this frame because of the coloration. The low angle work cannot be improved....gorgeous frame!

The details on the head feathers are pretty darn impressive, actually, the whole face is superb! Perfect comp, and the blue waters and wavelets in them are quite soothing. I also love the water touching the duck's chest. A perfect portrait IMO.

Beautiful IQ and details. Light, exposure, comp - all spot ON for me. Nicely done Miguel.
