    jay head shot .
    Came across this whilst doing a sort
    Taken at the pool a while back
    Not much surround so I've gone for an "eye in the middle " crop.
    D200
    Sigma 100-300mm
    Metz 402 two heads set well back as fill in.
    Crop from horizontal
    One round sharpen after resize/neat image.

    John;

    The tight crop adds to the impact here, eye on centerline can work well. Very sharp.

    The whites under the bill look a bit lacking in detail, even though they are in the 230s range. Did you need to pull back the exposure a bit?

    BG color works well here.

    Hi Thanks.
    The original was pretty much the same although the white area was not reading as similar on the three levels. I tried to get a bit back in Bibble and Image Guru but theres nothing there, so I left it.

    Excellent feather detail, nice color palette. I agree with you regarding the bracken in the repost but the feather details on the neck are better in the repost. Thank you for sharing.
