Ha ha, neat...uhmmm...behaviour. Those drops are crystal clear! I like the earthy tones throughout, and the habitat is nice. A bit more room above and left would have been good IMO. I also would not sharpen the in-focus grasses bottom left...just a preference of mine when I have grass in my images. All else looks great to my eyes.

    Hi Ben

Hope you do not mind, I took the liberty to do a RP...
Can see why you used 7,1 with the 1,4 attached, but to me the BG is to prominent.
In the RP softened the BG and reduced sat on reds in BG. Tried to lighten shadows in eye and on bokkie.
    Selective sharpening for web.
    WDYT?
    Regards

    Andre.

    Hello Ben,

Was this taken in the Kalahari? The light is familiar, and so is the subject:)

So cute - innocence written all over this bokkie's face, and that surprised look for being caught in a precarious position. Lovely capture of this young lamb and nice detail, the colours may appear a tad strong but this is the KTP:)

I like what Andre did with his RP, I find that a softer BG makes the subject stand out more. The OP needs a tad more sharpening - WDYT?

The pose makes me smile and certainly that eye contact makes this image - well captured Ben, thank you so much for sharing!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks for the comments and the RP. I like the less obvious background of the RP. The colours, some where in between the 2 post. Thanks again for the help.

Hi Ben, The RP looks much better here and agree with Daniel on not to sharpen the focused grass . you have done well here.
