    Default Hawk Owl

    Model = Canon EOS-1D Mark II N
    Exposure Time = 1/800"
    F Number = F5.6
    Exposure Program = Manual
    ISO Speed Ratings = 400
    Metering Mode = Spot
    Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
    Focal Length = 400mm
    Color Space = sRGB
    Exposure Mode = Manual exposure
    Handheld using a Bushhawk

    Always preferring something other than the sky as a background, I am quite happy when I can achieve images such as this.

    Jody, you can't imagine how much you are teasing me with this pics of the owl :-) After seeing one of them staying in the office is a real suffering. I am fighting the temptation to get my combo and run out in search of such an opportunity to capture an owl.

    Like the others, this Owl image is quite stunning. The in flight pose is nice, and that reddish bg is fantastic.

    eye contact, fantastic background, and excellent wing position. I never use the term "it doesn't get much better than this", but if the shoe fits..... absolutely superb Jody.

    Hey Jody,

    Really Stunning shot - I do see a difference in saturation of the background along the upper wing and along the top of the tail. I would probably either selectivley saturate these parts or clone the colour closer to the bird. I don't think the general public would ever notice it, but hey, thats what this place is for right;)? There is also a dust spot straight up from the highest tail feather that I would get rid of. Really Sweet though!
