    Late afternoon side light and taken propped up on car window.

    1/125s, f/5.6, ISO800
    7d Mark II, 500 f/4L IS

    cleaned up background, toned down the head, dfine NR, smart sharpen

    Kester, Where was this taken? It's a new species to me and you have photographed him (her?) beautifully. Great background too. Given his gaze, I could see the bird more in the left side of the frame.

    You can find them around wetlands in most of central and south america. This one was in Guyana, spotted him perched while driving along a highway.

    I like the pose, perch, BG and beautiful bird. I agree with Grace's composition suggestion. Excellent image Kester.
