    Default Brown-Headed Cowbird

I got some good looks at brown-headed cowbirds while in Texas. We get them in Albuquerque, but they always seem to be far away. I like the pose that this one gave me; sizing me up and trying to let me know who was boss.

Doug, fantastic behaviour pose depicted here!! I like the "U" shape formed by the bird.

A perfect shot. I really like the colors and pose. We get these guys following our horses around the pastures all day. They really are a very pretty bird with their brown heads and iridescent bodies.

Great setting, pose, details and BG. Maybe a tiny bit less contrast.

Doug- This looks like a lesson in how to use fill-flash. Really excellent, subtle lighting!

I think this is really nice, Doug. Not a darn thing needing improvement that I can see. The pose is a big plus.

Nice job with this Doug! as soon as I saw that log I knew where it came from. I saw the same log posted elsewhere. we have these guys by the thousands! you go to Jones Beach late winter early spring and that is all you see. the bird on the log with its color and that background all make it come together!
