    Default Out of the Darkness

During my recent bald eagle tour late in the afternoon I noticed the eagles would be flying against the shadowed mountainside and then turn into the beautiful warn sunlight. The angle was nearly full sidelight so I opened up a full stop from my base manual exposure. This was fine for the bright highlights and let the hillside stay dark, as it looked at the time.

this is excellent, love the banking pose and the dark BG. stands out nicely. sharp with goo details. I might try tho raise the shadows on the edge of the wings just a tiny bit to separate from the BG

The dramatic lighting really makes this image and eagle stand out. Good choice of comp.

Love it! Great pose, BG and exposure. Nice details in both black and whites despite the overall dark image. I like the image as-is and how the bird blends into the BG.

Lovely image you got here, awesome beak pose , the lights is just fabulous, the full stretch of the wings complimenting the frame.
