Taken in Seattle area a few weeks ago. These lovely flowers usually look down, making them a challenge to photograph.

105mm macro lens. Topaz Detail, CEP: Detail Extractor and Darken/Lighten Center; Gaussian Blur.

    Textures:
    "Bokeh 3A" & "Abstract Debris" : Shadowhouse
    "Brush Strokes": https://www.flickr.com/photos/ohabli...57603704553263

    I always appreciate all comments.

Absolutely wonderful. The combination of colors and the composition are so good. So was the perspective with the way it captures the curve of the upper petals. This is really beautiful.

    Anita,

Greetings. The center detail and the curved lines are standouts in this beautiful image. I'd be inclined to take the brights down a notch in the lower left and give a bit more room to the upper left. The background is particularly cool - is that the Bokeh 3A in the blues lower right?

    Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Thanks for feedback. Interestingly, the image was originally larger, and I cropped it. Here is the image incorporating your suggestions.

As for the blues in lower right corner: I think it came from both Bokeh 3A and Brush Strokes 2. I gave you a link to brush strokes. Unfortunately, I didn't save a link for the Shadowhouse texture, and I can't find it with a quick search. If you want it, I can send the texture to you directly.

The first edition was great, the second better. The soft color palette and textures say spring. The comp is excellent.

    Anita,

Now it is perfect. ;-) Good show!

Thanks for the offer of the texture but I just don't use them. I was just wondering about the cool background.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

I like the repost Anita, where the crop is not quite so tight. The bg is wonderful, and the center detail is terrific.
