I could see this fella sitting in this tree from afar and I could not resist taking a closer look in the hopes of getting an image pretty much similar to this. He ate for a long time on that very "perch", offering neat eating behaviour opportunities. I had never seen a squirrel eat out of a fruit tree like this...I guess it was tired of seeds and nuts and opted for something a little sweeter

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/5.6, ISO 800, FF, punched up the contrast and saturation (very dull day).

Hi Daniel - Very well seen and beautifully composed. Excellent detail and the red berries really add to the image as does the snow. It all works for me.

    Hello Daniel

Delightful pose from this cute little squirrel, nested among perches with berries...The subjects' mouth is open, a berry in those little paws - can it get any better than this? Well spotted and captured, there's something so sweet and charming about this image - thank you Daniel, enjoyed viewing, a lot, would like to see some more please, if you have:)

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

A cracking shot Daniel. Love the colours, the falling snow/sleet and the cuteness.
You should post here more often!

Great framing makes this shot a winner, very unusual with the berries around, and the snowflakes just push it on another notch

I love the cute pose with beautiful contrasting colour here Daniel, the light falling snow further enhances this image.

This is such a special image !! the colors of berry and snow makes it such an appealing frame . Agree with Morkel to post more here.

Hi Daniel, saw this when you first posted, but wanted to comment, once back.

The environment is a killer, love the fact the actually berries shroud the subject and you have a clear line of vision, well scene & executed. If it was me, I would add a mid tone mask, it really punches up and IMHO creates a bit more tonal depth.
