Default Snowy Owl in the Gloaming, Perched Among the Unwieldy

    Hello!
I crept hopefully towards this good beast over the course of an hour. By the time I got to this spot, there was very little light remaining and I was pining for a different sort of lens! Or maybe a tripod! But I've never used a tripod and I won't start now! But no matter: the experience was better than delightful. This particular picture was taken with the Canon 7D and 100-400 at 400mm. iso2500, 1/160, f5.6
Good greetings to all and I thank you for your suggestions, e.g., "More noise reduction!"

Hey Jack... this is a crop from the other? I prefer the first one... perhaps somewhere in between? Lookin' too blue too. Pose and eyes, as I mentioned before, still rock!

Hi Sandy, this is a different picture, taken approximately 15 minutes later. What we see here is roughly 85% of the full-frame. I like the other one better too!
