    Default Great Egret Chicks...

Another from the rookery at Gatorland in Orlando, Florida. It is wonderful to see three chicks looking healthy and about the same size. Many times there are only two and the strongest gets all the food forcing the other out of the nest. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Joe:

I have only been to Gatorland once, but it is a very fun place, and the close access to nests is special.

I like the three different but interacting poses, fine with cutting off the parent.

The sticks across the center are distracting. Could you have moved a foot or two to your right to shoot through the gap there?

    Cheers

Hi Randy, thank you for viewing and commenting. I tried moving, both left and right along the boardwalk... sticks coming out of the nest everywhere. I should have noted that I removed and couple to open the image but the big one in the center I had trouble with. It just did not want to be removed easily. Thanks again.

Not being one to give up easily... through the wonders of Photoshop, no sticks.

The repost is definitely an improvement without the sticks.
Love the subject matter and appreciate how difficult it is to shoot at "rookeries". It is sooo... hard to get a clear view at a nest.
    Chicks poses are really nice,
    Gail

Those darn twigs...but they are there for a reason I guess. Cute family, looks like harsh light out there at G-land.
