    That red eye is certainly captivating, but I also like the details of the bkgd. Especially those lines of grasses in the upper left that balance the angled perch.

    Yes, the eye is captivating. The oil application adds to the feathering detail to contrast with the green grasses in bkgd. Wondering what that white thing is that is sticking out of its head?

    Nice tones in the image, and the red eye is the focal point along with the crown. I might consider cloning out the one branch facing downward. Nice dark bg.
