Here is another image taken during last years spring migration. It was taken at Tremblay Beach Conservation Area near my house. I was lucky to get a clean BG but wish he turned his head a little more towards me. iAll C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Very nice capture of a gorgeous bird. I think the head angle is fine, technically spot on, good composition, well done. Regards, Ian.

Great looking little bird Jim and I really like the colors and details in this one. Nice perch and background also but as you mentioned a little head turn would've been cool but looks nice nonetheless. Well done

Very nice bird, nice perch and composition. Full head on view would be a dream, still nice as it is. TFS.

Gorgeous color and sharpness! I love the pose -- the head turn fits so well with the line of the breast stripes leading up to the yellow triangle on the throat.

Gorgeous bird and a beautiful stare. I really like your slanted perch, your bird placement and the nice comp. The BG complements the bird nicely. Very nicely done Jim.
