Default Strafing Run - Black Crowned Night Heron

This was a very windy day and there was a group of six BCNHs hanging around this slightly secluded little cove, I'd never seen more than one before. I'm very happy with the shots I captured and I keep coming back to this one, it just reminds me of a fighter jet coming in on a strafing run.

I like it Kikrk Cool image with the willets below Those birds are always up to no good and are a terror for the ones nesting !!!

Image is sharp and well exposed with enough detail under the wing. Would like to brighten up the willets as presented they seem a little dull. Hope you were able to make some full frame images of the heron !!!

Interesting behavior image. I like the pose of the heron but wish for more eye contact and I would try to avoid clipping birds on the left and right side.

Very interesting composition and I like the wing formation on the black-crowned night heron as well as the head feather. Good timing on this one Kirk. . Agree with all of the above .
