    Captured this Ibis coming in for a landing at Circle B Bar Reserve last Friday. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/2000 F/7.1 Matrix Metering + 2/3 EV ISO 1250
    Post processed in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 10
    Cropped for composition, smoothed and blended the background

    Excellent dynamic pose, I really love the feathers ruffling in the wind. I also love the subtle way the wings are lit from underneath by what I suppose is light off water below. The habitat looks good too, and well done on the BG blending (just a few spots that need further refinement at right IMO). Perhaps a touch more sharpening for web presentation. This would look great as a vertical or square crop.

    This is a cool flight pose but this image isn't working for me. These birds are very difficult to photograph and unless you get them in the right light, you end up with shadows as you have here and you aren't able to appreciate the iridescence of the feathers.

    The light just isn't showing off the lovely iridescence ,
