Default Look at me .... i am the one !

Does this Mandarine Drake wanted to tell the female , well this was my thinking when i took the image today at a local pond . Two pairs of this very beautiful duck species are living at a pond downtown .
As the location is not the best for us photogs from BG and FG POV i tried to make the best out of it , i could not get any lower or different angle to left or right to avoid the rock in the FG .
Some stuff removed in the BG .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
Ef 200-400 with engaged TC so 560 mm

    F 6,3 ; Iso 3200 ; 1/1250 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC , no NR at any stage in the process ; cropped for comp to pano .

Hope you like it , C&C are more than welcome .

    Cheers Andreas

Given the limitations of the setting, you have a very nice image here. Impeccable image quality, as usual! No NR with ISO 3200 - also impressive.

I like the inclusion of the female - seems to balance nicely. Great colours on the drake...

    Thanks for sharing!

Stunning capture. The interaction of the birds makes up for the challenging situation. Regards, Ian

If it was not for those FG rocks this would have been perfect, but I understand the situation you had. I'm digging the inclusion of the female and the flying water drops.

Pretty cool looking frame with the water drops flying. I like the drakes pose water color also. I just shot these guys for the first time a few weeks ago. Well done
