I created this high key image in camera. The over-exposure removes all the impurities in the snow and creates an even bkgd for the blacks and reds of the crane.

Unique look for the theme..and I love it. The minimalist approach fits where you were. Love the touch of red (yes, I know it is natural, but still, you caught it at the right place and chose not to go black and white only. )

I liked this right away and am liking it even more all the time. I had to put the image on a darker space to really see the placement of the crane within the frame, and your placement of it really works for me; I wouldn't crop any from the bottom. The amount that's there seems right for the size of the crane. In addition, the visual mass of the crane is pretty much centered on the intersection of a horizontal and vertical divine proportion line. It's good to be able to see hints of shadows in the snow.

Very elegant, nice detail in the blacks, slight cool in the whites, just a hint of the eye, I love it! I put a thin line around it, perhaps it gives a reference to all that negative space.
