    Taken a few weeks ago in south TX. Attracted to a setup by food, but it found one of the good morsels hidden there -- a native acorn. I was lucky that he held it so its detail showed. The head was in focus but the back was just out, so I composited the back from the next frame, where the focus happened to hit it but the head was turned away. That frame also had a little more at the bottom, which I used. And grabbed the end of the branch on the left from yet another frame. 5D3, 600mm II, ISO 800, f/7.1, 1/1000 sec., tripod, in blind.

    Great job of compositing the separate shots and a great perch!

    Nice shot I have slight reservations over the leaves, for me they look very set up given the dead nature if the log if you get my drift. Super shot of the bird with the seed excellent details.
