Looking through files from my old D7000 body i found this macro shot i took in my mums garden. When the spearmint plants are in bloom all sorts of insects are attracted and this is one of the nicest butteflies i saw that day

Cropped for composition and reduced some green saturation from BG. Ran NR on BG and selectively sharpened subject.

    Shane:

Very nice, like the soft, fuzzy butterfly, soft light, complimentary colors.

    Good composition.

    Cheers

Excellent shot good DOF the left antenna is just losing it at the tip but not a problem for me. Nicely composed and an interesting complimentary background.

Hi Shane. Very nice detail in those tricky whites and pale yellows! Also nice pose, comp, light, and background. This strong image would be even better if the tip of the plant had been sharp - though it's not a major issue for me because the butterfly itself is so sharp.

Nice light and lovely sharpness on this pale subject! I might consider a slight crop from the left but no big deal -- lovely as is!

Beautiful detail on the butterfly. I like that the color of the butterfly and the flowers match. Nice!
