Theme: Dalmatian Pelican - all the bill...

Sorry to be so boring as to be posting a variation on the same Dalmatian Pelican as my previous posting, but I thought there might be some interest to see more of the bill and the red pouch...

This is another of the shots that were sitting in my archives from a trip to Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece back in late February 2011. Much of the time we had soft defused light which was ideal for photographing these amazing birds. The background is the cloudy sky across the lake.

Conversion in DPP4, PS5 for Levels and curves adjustments, Light touch of Dfine for NR

Glad you posted this Gerald. That was one of the things I wished for on your last post. To see this bird from a different POV.

It is very impressive indeed. I love how the grey on the upper bill blends with the head. And, contrasts beautifully with the colours on the lower bill and the eye.
