Hi Jon, thats a great pose you got there. Fab HA and the open bill adds to the image.

I feel that its lacking detail in the chest and tail areas. it has a painterly look about it. The rest of the image seems good esp whatever the crow is holding onto.

I like the DOF and the line of seaweed, which shows the crow waiting as the tide comes in, for something to eat

I really like the pose captured here. Exposure on the blacks looks perfect.

I like the way he is holding on to the vegetation with his foot.
I would crop in from the right to get rid of the object at the top of the frame.

I love the way it is gripping that object. Neat shoreline habitat. I agree the reddish object in URC should disappear, and the details on the flanks and undertail coverts seem smoothed out - perhaps some NR?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The white object , I think is a ball of nesting material from shellfish or something like that (or just maybe its not a dogfish is it?).
The smoothed area was revealed when I added the smallest amount of Shadows in CS6, I also tried curves and got the same result so on reflection maybe I should have left them, but if I had I am sure it would have been suggested that I left them alone!
