    Default Incoming mallard

Having not been out for a while due to work overload, I grabbed an hour yesterday evening to go to a local pond and practice some flight shots of the many mallards. Here's one that I liked. Caught him just as he revised his flight plan to land on some open water instead of the ice.

Minimal processing: crop, levels, smoothed out the bank a bit, lifted shadows on his head and sharpened.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Shot has nice balance, both in color and in composition. Pin sharp focusing and pleasing BG. Works for me!

This is excellent Grace. I really like the mid-air pose and the HA.
    IQ impressive as always.
Light perfect for showing the iridescence on the head. No nits from me.

    Stunning image here, Grace!

Pin-sharp, like the pose and water water droplets from the bright feet.

    Comp very effective.
