This was taken last May at a conservation area down the road from my house. Still processing all the warblers from three days of incredible activity during the migration. I hope this year is just as good. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

I love the insect in its beak, what perfect capture. Great sharpness and a nice perch. Just looking at all the tiny tufts in the dark feathers, I wonder if a lot of texture and color would be brought out with a touch of fill flash. Just a thought for when they come around this year. The more I look at it, the more I like it. Excellent job.

Gorgeous bird which you captured well and with a hover-fly prey, cool stuff! One little nit is the stray feather on the back of his head which kind of pulls my eye. An easy fix presuming you aren't apposed to cloning. I hope you have a great warbler season again this year.

Lovely looking image Jim. Great colours on the bird and I like the pose. The prey adds to the image. Good work and thanks for sharing

Excellent shot of this beautiful bird, Jim! The colors, pose and HA look great. The prey makes this image more appealing. Well done.

great pose and prey, good details. I wish the BG was a bit farther away. The small curly branch is a bit distracting, it think it would have worked better if it were in focus

Great-looking frame Jim. The colors and the details look Beautiful and I like the overall scene. For me, the branches in the background are not ideal but seeing the bee in the beak head on, really makes up for it. Well done.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I knew the BG was not ideal but I was still happy to get this image.
