    He was looking a bit beat up around the bill in Janaury, but I still liked all the feather detail. A little saturation to the bird, cleaned up some stray feathers bits and dirt spots. Sharpened the eye and bill.

    D4, 600 mm, 1/640 sec. @f8, ISO 1250

    I really like this John. Beautiful colours throughout the image and a pleasure to view. Lovely amount of sharpness, great POV and HA. Good work

    A pleasing image. Good sharpness and feather details. You got a rally nice pose from him. I would give a little more room in front.

    I like the sharpness, details, ruffled feathers and exposure. I could see a version with more room in front as well. Well done John.

    I understand why you used the composition you did here, and I think it works. You have amazing details and I Just love those ruffled feathers. The only thing that could have topped this would have been breeding plumage!

    Oh I do wish we had this species over here! Those ruffled feathers and the colour really look fantastic!
