    Default Black Vulture

Here's a shot I took of a Black Vulture from a few years back on my first everglades trip.

Nice head angle which remains sharp from eye to the tip of the beak. I like the detail retained in the dark feathers, but I'm a little unsure about the crop - the beak seems a bit too close to the left side of the frame, maybe going to a horizontal crop with a bit more on the left might help.

I love all the details you got here! Good call stopping down for the portrait. I'm OK with the chosen crop as is, but I could see a version of the image with the WB warmed up a touch and / or the saturation punched up. Very nicely done!

I like the details, sharpness, exposure and clean BG. Good suggestions by Daniel. These guys don't smell too good when you are this close. Very well done Derek.
