My first trip to Ft. De Soto for this season, A beautiful but small Reddish Egret preformed for me all day, I stayed in the park from sun up until sundown. Don't forget the sunscreen if you attempt this. I hope you like this one.

What beautiful breeding colors this guy has. Great pose and I like the layered BG.
I feel that this image needs to be rotated clockwise.
    Good IQ on the bird.
if you have more room on the right that would be great but not a big deal.
I would also clone out the white dot in the water below the foot.

Well Robert I would say that it was all worth it after looking at your image

I love the feather details on the bird. Also like the colours on the bird blending with the BG , the grey feathers on a similar coloured water, the neck and head also fitting nicely with the upper BG. Lovely pose and HA. Maybe a wee bit rotation needed?

Love the pose by the bird and the colorful BG. Agree with the rotation.

One of my favorite birds to photograph for the non-stop hunting action that always provides great moments like this Robert... terrific pose, great HA, love the raised foot, and beautiful pastel layered BG. Agree about a bit of CW rotation.
    Cool image, I like it.

It is the subtleties that set this image apart to my eye: the splash of the back foot and the position of the raised one, nice even light, shadow on the wave, curved tail feathers, and that lovely pastel sky. Rotation noted, then I'd be super happy to have this one in my files.

Thanks for comments guys, I can even see the rotation issue on the thumbnail, an easy fix, I cloned out he highlight under the foot and did have just a little more on the right. Thanks for the excellent feedback.

Great Reddish action captured, with lovely Florida pastels in the BG. I second Gail's comments. Nicely done.

I'm off to fort desoto in a few weeks and would be more than happy to return with something similar. Excellent wing span and details, rotation already mentioned, but overall a lovely frame

Excellent pose here, and the BG looks good with the coloured barring. I love the texture of the water (windy day?). Rotation noted many times already so I won't mention it again...oh wait...

A real beauty Robert! Everything has been said but it would be a shame not to comment on this wonderful image.
