Another great-looking frame of this beautiful Jack Merlin. I like this one better than the first because it shows the prey item well, looks like a black Phoebe laid out perfectly. The open beak, the nice pose, the heavily weathered post, and that nice creamy background all make for a beautiful Photo. Well done Binu.

This one is over the top Binu with the prey showing so nicely and a great perch. Outstanding work, congratulations on a great capture. Regards, Ian

Tells the story without being too gory. Love the feathers stuck in the perch. Does the underside of the merlin have a green cast to it?

I echo all of David's thoughts. The color scheme turned out pretty amazing. I am with Grace on the cast and noticed it immediately.

Lovely sharp image. It is full of nice details! I also notice the greenish or yellow cast on the bird, easy to fix. No big deal!

Very nice capture, I think it is a little over-sharpened though.

Fantastic predator/prey image Binu, the position and view of both is just so good. Love the bits of prey in the Merlin's beak, and the feathers on the perch is a really nice element. Composition is well done.
Green cast has been mentioned and is easily adjusted, otherwise a terrific image and a pleasure to see.

    An incredible shot.
I hate being late to the party and do not wish to echo the valid points already made.
Love the action, the light and the behavior portrayed.
    Well done Binu!

Excellent image Binu! I like the IQ, perch, prey, sharpness and composition. The feathers sticking out of the perch really add to the image. Colour cast already mentioned.

Excellent pose and the prey takes it to the top, agree with the color cast (have you calibrated?) and also sharpening a bit less

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions everyone! I've not sharpened this image more than I usually do. I'll process it again to fix the color cast.

Thanks Arash! Yes I calibrate my monitors often and I did it a week ago.
