I am coming to the party. WHEN??

Very nice the discussion in this image andreas. As usual not much to say about your processing. Would love to see the left seal in FG a tad more sharp.
I like the RHS seal standing on it's flippers. Wonder how that party is going!!

    Have a great eve

    Ciao Anette

A cool moment, Andreas. Great angle, tones and detail. I don't mind sharpness/DOF as posted.

Hi Andreas - Great low pov and the kicked up sand really adds to the image for me. Interesting to see some interaction too. Sharpness and dof work for me too.

    Hi Andreas

Like the comp, title works well with image content!

    Agree with sharpness and DOF.

Whites, blacks and lots of mid-tones- well processed!

Small suggestion, maybe brighten up eye of right seal, had to squint to find it the first time.
    Regards

    Andre.

Thanks all for your kind comments folks , very much appreciated as always.

Andre to me it does not make sense to open up the eye , it is barely visible due to the head angle . From my POV it would look too unnatural if open up that eye. And if you find , like you did , the young speedsters you should be able to see that seal eye with ease .

    Thanks again , Andreas

    Hello Andreas,

Lovely interaction captured here and I like the DOF, sharpness, and colours especially.

Well composed and that sand flying is a big bonus, I like the way you filled the frame with lots of action and there's so much body language from those aggressive dragons!

Thank you so much for sharing, enjoyed viewing:)

Hi Andreas, good call in image.

Like the interaction, but fell you need more image content at the foot, like Sanjeev's elephant image, it's just too tight I feel. Having the 200-400 I find you have to think more compared to the fixed 500, however time often does not allow this, or more importantly, the scene! Think the DoF is fine, personally I feel it's movement in the LH seal rather than DoF/Sharpness. Agree on not opening the eye, it would look odd. I quite like the hint of blue at the top, just seems to add something.

Thanks Gabriela and Steve for your kind comments , as always much appreciated .

I agree with you Steve it could be a bit more on the foot , with hindsight i should have not the TC enabled . As i wanted to go tight during shooting and concentrated on the two , the seal jumped in from the left ........ that is why he is blurred slightly ,the SS was just not fast enough to freeze him!
As these situations are not controlled by us, they just happen . But you know that and said it already in your reply

    Cheers Andreas

Oh so true Andreas, but if we have learnt from it, then it hasn't been wasted, it's been educational.
