Hi Sanjeev,
a nice image of this elli. The tree above it's head is a bit unfortunate, but nothing you can do much, unless you clone it out. Wish you would have left a bit more space on the bottom for the feet.
I went through this stage as well
The conversion looks quite nice.
Will see what the others have to say to this.
have a great day
Ciao Anette

Hi Sanjeev - great textures brought out in the conversion. I also agree with the above about the tree and the room below but also about your pp coming a long way!

Hi Sanjeev this is more of a nice straight forward B/W conversion , i actually like the more going off the track conversion with the giraffe from the conversion POV. Does look more interesting and gives more food for thoughts .
You have nice tone and detail extracted and i am fine with the overall comp , but would also like to see a bit more room for the feet. I do not mind about the trees in the BG , they are there and we have to live with them , sometimes they do help other times not .

Hello Sanjeev,
You processed this ellie so well, lots of detail and the sharpness is spot on. I am curious about the two darker areas at the top, L and R - can you explain where they come from? Did you apply some effect and then re-cropped?
I agree with comments above, the subject needs a bit more room below, but I do like the space in front of him. The abundant vegetation was part of the environment at the time - not much you could do about that, other than wait for the ellie to move around:)
Apart from what has already been mentioned, I cannot fault your image - it is indeed a lovely conversion, what is lacking for me is a stronger element of interest, let us call it an "anchor". I know, we are all becoming rather picky and demanding in this forum and " very good" or "well processed" is not enough anymore: we want to be moved, we want expression, we want the WOW factor. Not always possible to achieve, but in IMO this is what gives us the edge from time to time. I cannot really describe it, it could be an open eye, a raised limb, eye contact, subject running, your lion yawning, subject thinking, a head shake, chasing flies, some might even think a cleaner BG (in this case) would make this more attractive, because it would make us pay more attention to the subject. I have lots of ellie images I have not processed yet for this very reason, I just feel they are not strong enough to captivate the audience.
Just my thoughts, Sanjeev. I spent some time viewing a number of images tonight, trying to figure out what grabs me and what not. Looking forward to your views and I would love to hear what the other members think on this topic, and especially with regard to this particular image.
Warmest regards,

Love all the details on this image and how the darker elephant pops against the white and greys of the BG
First thing that comes to mind when is see this image is AGE. The elephants pose and the B&W give me the impression that this elephant is very old, alone and hasnt got much time left
Probably not the case but its what this image conveys to me at least
Nicely processed
