    Default Early Morning Taxi

A little while back I was driving through the nature reserve close to where I live, and noticed a few Zebra's walking down the road towards me. One of them had a Cattle Egret on its back. I stopped my car and waited for the right moment, and this was the result. Taken early morning.

Wonderful opportunity you grasped here Stuart. It is one of the most interesting bird pictures I have seen for a while. Technically spot on, good composition but the oof mane keeps catching my eye. I would not for a moment suggest remove it entirely but wonder how it would look 'shaved off' a little. Regards, Ian

This is splendid. Personally I quite like the mane. Those blurry vertical upstrokes do something enjoyable to my eyes.

Great looking egret in sweet morning light with Beautiful exposure and details but the perch is what I like the best. Great shot Stuart.

Personally I love images like this Stuart, it is true wildlife seeing the interaction between animals we don't normally associate together... another window into nature.
I think your choice of of composition is terrific, beautiful light, and all the technical boxes are checked for me.
Excellent work in this lovely image that I really enjoyed seeing.

Terrific shot love the expression of the Egret - not sure how far he can trust this zebra and waiting for the snacks!

Nicely exposed and great detail. Tells a great story!

That's a real pech of a shot Stu, the plumage detail is spot on. I like the background too, the OOF trees against the sky make for a beautiful soft backdrop. If you did crop the image I think it just about right, that little bit of mane acts as agood stopper.
