    F 8 ; Iso 800 ; 1/1600 sec

Hi Andreas - What a cute little one! I like the coming at you pose with the raised paw. Nice catchlights in the eyes. I might consider blending the urc a little.

    Rachel

High cuteness factor here Andreas. Love the glow & catch light in the eye. Nice POV too with good light. The half visible face in the BG may not be ideal, wish you had included the full face or eliminated it. Sweet image none the less.

Oh my, absolutely adorable, this image brings back such lovely memories of those little guys! Superb colours Andreas, the light so beautiful, wonderful detail on this little fuzz ball, from those lovely eyes to the fine little hairs! Not to mention the pose with that raised paw!

I take it you only cropped from the top and bottom, composition works for me very well with mommy fox at the back just a shadow, ever so vigilant and keeping an eye (just one) on potential predators - this is how I interpret this image, and as I am viewing right now I am focusing on the cub alone, those grasses on its left just in the right place for they somehow detract me from looking at mom. I'd say you put a lot of thought into this, very clever image design - and I like it, very much

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Rachel , Sanjeev and Gabriela for you kind comments , much appreciated .

Rachel i am fine with the URC for me no need of blending , but i just saw some dust bunnies .
Sanjeev , sadly i had no chance to in or exclude mum in the BG while shooting , only choice would be cropping differently , but i have chosen this one.

Gabriela your so cute with your wording , i love it , but honestly no thoughts made while shooting , all action was happening normally very fast with the little ones and it was a challenge to keep one or more in the focal plane. So it was more firing bursts of frames and hope that some may come out nicely !!!

Anyhow thanks again for your feedback , cheers Andreas

    Andreas...

I know you had no thoughts while shooting, LOL, how could you, with the speed those cuties were moving about? I meant "you thoughtfully cropped and left mom's face in (even though just half of it is visible) because this works better than cropping tighter, despite the fact that only one eye is showing". Maybe you did not realise this but the effect is quite interesting, having Mom sort of "peeping" from the side, looking over her young. That is why I said " keeping an eye" on predators

Ok Gabriela now i got you , and this have been my thoughts too leaving mum in the frame by half , but would have loved to have the whole face in though !!

    Hi Andreas

I have taken thousands of these little speedsters, know just how difficult it is to try and catch them in focus as they dart from hole to hole!
An approaching youngster takes the cake, but that is VERY difficult to get focus on the eyes.

I know why Morkel has never seen them this small- because they run so fast!

You did well here my Friend!
    Regards

    Andre.

Cute little guy. I'm just impressed that you managed to stand your ground and snap this photo while being confronted by this savage beast!

Hi Andreas, luck to survive the encounter, looks a mean guy and very much focused on you!!!!

Like the raised paw and good detail, would consider cropping the 'parent' out LHS, personally I don't think it adds much and would strengthen the image IMHO.

Thanks Steve & Steve for swinging by and leave your comments , yes i was close to get the lens back into the car ,when this little monster approached with his bad dangerous looking wide open eyes !!!! LOL !

Steve i agree with you regarding mum does not add to the image ,but my reason was i stay away from too much of cropping and i wanted to have the space around ........

    Thanks again , Andreas

If you keep the height i.e. 1200 x 848 I think it will work and at this size IQ will be fine.
