    Hi William,
That's a nice perky little chap! Surprising how they always manage to look slightly grumpy.

Nice details and although I do like the background very much, I think perhaps there is a little too much. I would probably try to move the birdie a little more towards the centre.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Gerald

Hi Gerald, thanks for your comments. I understand about being 'too much' BG, esp the part above the birds head. Maybe I should have toned it down a wee bit. Others will say not enough BG

Thanks for having a look, much appreciated

I like the background, just would tone down the bright round spot above his head. Bird is sweet and the colors are complimentary.

Thanks Grace. I agree with you, it caught my eye more after I had posted

I thought the BG gave a 'glimpse' of the wooded area he was resident in.

    Thanks for looking.

William you do these lovely little songbirds as good as anyone, this is more proof.
Color and detail look perfectly natural which is the highest compliment I can give you, very well done.
Composition is mostly personal preference, your choice for this works very well for me... toning down the brighter area above the head has already been addressed.
Top notch work, I enjoyed it a lot.

Hi William, these birds are very thin on the ground in my part of the world, apart from maybe toning down that yellow bit above the bird I don't think I would change it, very nice piece of work.

    Cheers Keith.
