This female was blocking the sand road south from Polentswa round about 7h30 in the morning. She was going to move for anyone, a park official's vehicle tracks went around her.
We met with her 3 partners a few hundred meters before, they were in hunting mode- in and out of road looking for anything to satisfy their hunger.
This particular female was severely scarred on abdomen and lower back- looked more like a violent interaction with prey animal than a fight- her face was relatively clear.

She was was lying in the shade, by lifting her head she had side some side light. Had some difficulty with her eyes, did not want to paint a mask..?
About 50% crop for portrait, LR5 and CS6. TK and some actions.
C&C welcome

Love the look of contempt in the pose here Andre, perfect DOF and image quality, I'm wondering if a slight increase in exposure, say 1/3 just on the face might boost this a little.
Hi Andre i like to agree with Rachel , think this is your best portrait from the technical POV , very well processed my brother !!!!!!
But it would not be me , you know that , where i think i could be slightly improved if wished . You have not used the full tonal range that is in the file (again a gap on RHS of the histogram) .
I just used levels layer and some small boost in the 3/4tones with two adjustment layers (darks/darks mask from TK to each layer ) , one set to screen (blurred with median at 20 px ) other one to multiply blend mode . Grouped the two layers and add lights mask to the group ..... hope you understand . Will send you a demo video shortly , so you hear me talk .
The base image is already nicely processed and i like the strange look of the lioness and the framing .
