    This frisky little guy was secounds away from flying away. He is one of the locals at Green Cay Wetlands. He was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D lens.

    focal length @ 420mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/800sec. - f/5.6 / ISO @ 320 /
    white balance @ auto / exposure comp @ +1.3EV / AF Mode @ AF-C / color mode @ sRGB /
    tone comp @ 0 / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +1 degrees / no speedlight / no tripod /

    Nice sharp eye and beak and it looks like he was in the "up mode." I have been lusting after a RWBB for some time...

    I like the sharp/blur combination, nice exposure too!

    Maybe just a tich turn of the head toward you?

    Hi Gus I like the exposure used for this bird !! Excellent shadow detail and kept the color in the wings checked !!! A slight more head turn would have been mice and less blur toward the butt end.

    I do like the blur parts but the transition is not smooth. Getting it right would be totally chance since there is no way to predict the shaking speed. !!! I like very much what you are coming up with Gus !!!! ..... btw that bird has some awesome feet !!! Hope you did noticed !!!

    a strange bit of motion, but quite appealing and interesting Gus...very sharp eye(you and the rwwbb)

    Very good exposure, Gus--and as Dave says--very sharp! The motion is a bit confusing--wonder how it would have comeout with a bit faster shutter speed?
