EF-500 f/4 Lens hood question

I would to have the dimensions of the ET-138 lens hood. The specs say the lens diameter is 5.8" - is this just the lens or include the hood??

Help greatly appreciated.

Hood is 18 cm long and 16.2 cm outside diameter. This translates to roughly 7" long by 6 3/8" in diameter at widest.
