    I know the background is a bit busy but these little guys are hard to catch in the open.

    Hi Alison,

    Yes the little birds rarely sit still for us. This species is fairly new to me - don't have them in Tennessee as far as I know. You captured a good pose parallel to camera and the head tilt is very nice. Agree about the busyness of the image but like you said catching birds like this at all can be tough.

    What a cute little bird! Exposure and sharpness look great. I find that out of focus branch in the foreground is more of a distraction than the background. Hard to get them to perch in just the perfect spot but I would keep trying for such a nice species.
