When I saw her post I immediately thought of this shot I made at Ft. Desoto last month. The bird...and the plant...are older now however. (Yeah, it ain't the same bird, and it ain't the same plant, but............) Nikon D300, 1.4tc, 300/4 @ f/7.1, 1/1500, iso 320. Look back at her awesome image for perspective.

    Excellent angle and color.
The little plant adds a lot to this...

    Hi Robert,
you got s great combination of sweet light, great details and I also like the raised foot. I might selectively sharpen the small plant a bit

I like that you included the plant here. Also like the raised foot and the multicolored FG- BG combination. Sharpening the plant is a good suggestion. Well done.

It's all about the little plant, isn't it? Gives another dimension and a bit more interest to an already nice photograph. Love the colors and the warm light. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Robert, great low angle in sweet, sweet light. I really like the colours of your OC's, so much more colourful than ours here in SA. Well timed to have the raised foot, and the visible plant takes this up a few notches.

Incredibly beautiful! Love the pose and your shooting angle. Killer fg, bg colors. Plant is a nice touch. I'd fix the halo around the head.
