Got out early this morning before yet another snow/ice storm and found some nice red-breaseted mergansers. After diving they would take this cute pose seemingly to regroup before the next dive. Thanks for looking and for your comments!

Really nicely done Grace. IQ looks great and that water looks very cold. Love seeing the feet and the water drops really add a lot. The pose and colors of this merganser look super. The feathers out on top give the finishing touch.

A very nice capture of their behaviour. Great details in all parts of the bird, especially in the dark feathers on the head, which can be tricky on these birds. Interesting pose, good BG and nice addition with the feet.
