    Taken on my walk home from work. Sony a100, minolta 100-300 mm lens at 250 mm, iso 1200, f 6.3, 1/100s.

    Sorry for the typo in this post. The iso was 200 NOT 1200.

    Beautiful bird, scene and eye contact, I like it! Top left is a bit of in focus twig I might clone out. Was the wind blowing? The green branches in front look like movement?

    Nice separation of the bird from background! I might be tempted to go over the bright spots in the bg with the burn tool to tone them down just a bit, as they are just a little distracting....

    Hi Gene,
    Nice composition and nice colors on your bird...The background is a little congested, but it shows the bird's habitat. I would suggest on cloning out that branch that slices your bird in the background....:cool:

    Gene you managed the best possible image form your position !!! I like the eye contact, exposure and pose.

    If you want to do some hard work and make some bg improvement I would go for the large branch across his back !!! The rest is not all that distracting and can blur just a bit. Composition wise might want to favor the left side with a little more room which is the direction he is looking !!
