For scale and for those not familiar with Iguana's, they are 3-5 feet long and basically look like cartoon characters.

    Hello Dan,

Thank you for sharing this image, I have certainly never seen those iguana before - such colourful characters! I like the pose and POV, as well as composition. I take it the light coming in from the side made things a bit difficult but you handled the conditions well. I cannot really comment on colours since I am not familiar with the subjects or environment, at first glance it did feel like a tad too much blue on the iguana at the top and some magenta creeping through on the branch, but let us see what the others think. Overall a lovely capture and I am always excited to see new species, keep them coming please!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Dan - Always nice to see something different. Interesting pov, we don't often see iguanas from below. It looks like the lighting was difficult and that you had to do some pretty heavy highlight and shadow recovery. The image doesn't have the detail and visible textures that I would expect so I think the recovery may have affected that. There's also a halo along the top of the iguana and the branch.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Hey Dan.
Cool moment from some quirky characters. I can appreciate you trying to make the best of a tricky lighting situation, we all have to do that in the field. I agree with comments above that shadow/highlight recovery seems excessive, to the point that the midtones become muddy and weird. I also noted the halo. Perhaps show us the SOOC version as well?

Hi Dan ! lovely creatures ! The pose is superb . The branch looks a bit noisier may be due to shadow/highlights recovery !

    Thanks for the comments.
Yes to a lot of shadow recovery but I liked the poses so much I went for it.
I will post a better look at the Iguana, one of the coolest lizards you will ever see.....
