I like this shot very much indeed, lovely colours and details, the ears look great, you might expect the left one to be a bit dark but I think you have nailed it.
My local spot for hares has been ruined by sheep grazing the grass to almost nothing so I will have to find a new venue.

    Hello Christopher,

This is lovely, delightful looking Hare on the run, colours are superb and the BG is just great. I like the POV. Good choice of settings, enough SS to capture this little one running ...or rather "flying". By the way the pose is really cute, with those hind legs stretched forward! Curious where was your FP? Seems to me the subject is a tad sharper on the body than the face, not by much and not really an issue for me, love it as is and I enjoyed viewing, a lot!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Hi Christopher

I still have to learn to shoot a 500 handheld, never mind 700!
Image very crisp, agree with Gabriela about FP, think F5.6 or 6.3 might have given you a bigger DOF, think camera could handle 2000-2500 ISO.(Hindsight always better, suppose that is how we learn?)
Exposure spot on, light from behind not a problem for me.
    Like the POV!
    Regards

    Andre.

Hi Chris - Well exposed and well composed. Nice colors and details too. I agree that the body looks sharper than the head by just a touch.

Hi Chris, like the slight angle of the body to camera and the fact you caught the hare in mid stride, front legs behind, rear legs in front and plenty of space for 'him' to run into. Nice low POV with the grass and a cool BKG, no distracting elements. At this size I think lightening the image helped, but always best to avoid it, easier to darken and avoid increased noise in the shadow areas.

Besides the critiques already given on critical sharpness, I just find this a delightful frame, showing that you don't need an iconic species to make a cracking wildlife image.
The pose, low angle and soft light really work well together here!

Love the low POV and stunning BG here Chris, granted the AF is just off but the effort here has to be applauded.

I like this a lot, a nice look at a common creature.
The sharpness looks fine to me, the head could be sharpened a bit more, but an easy fix.
    Nice POV....

Hi Chris , very nice frame of the Hare . Clean BG , low POV and the framing makes this work nicely .
If you have used any NR at any stage (including raw converter ) i would reduce it on the subject , cause to me the subject appear a bit soft , but i could be wrong .I like the overall colors and tone , but might give the 1/4 tones a bit of a boost (darkening) slightly.

    TFS Andreas

Great shooting angle and the back light has been exceptionally well handled. Nice BG and eye contact. Very nice image Christopher!
