    Default Gray Jay

A gray jay from the Sax-Zim bog last week. Comments appreciated, thanks. Kind of obsessed with sharpness; is it sharp enough?

    Hi Paul,
This is a new one on me - cute little bird - so I would really like to see the colour version as opposed to B&W.
I think you could give it a bit more space in the frame - i.e. it is a bit tight.
Is this a large crop? As presented, it looks a little soft to me - where was your point of focus when you took the shot?
It's a good idea to post your equipment, shot details and a summary of your processing with the shot, so that you can get a more helpful critique.

I love this species...it looks and almost behaves like a giant chickadee when it comes to feed in the hand. I like the wintry feel, very apt for the Gray Jay. I agree with Gerald's assessment of the image. It does look soft as posted - perhaps due to crop or resizing. It also has some noise that can be easily cleaned up with any NR software.

The black and white works for me.
