    I like the heather in the FG.
    The light was angled too far to your right and has left a lot of the bird in shadow. This image would be so much stronger if the eagle had turned towards you to light up the breast and belly.This would have also given you a nice catchlight in the eye.
    I wish we could see the feet as well.
    I would crop the image a lot tighter as well coming in from the top and LHS.

    I agree with Gail's suggestions. I think you can still improve the image in PS with a bit of shadow recovery in the face and belly and a bit of highlights tone down on the rock/sand. I love the BG on this image but there just too much negative space on top, I would move the bird a bit higher in the frame if you have more room a the bottom.

    Steppe Eagle taking a step! I agree fully with the previous critiques. Nice details on the subject and I like the ruffed neck feathers. Another option would be to darken the mound a bit as it's brightness competes for attention.
